Masters Scholarship in Applied Ecology and Conservation Biology
Frostburg State University is taking applications for Master’s students in our AECB program, housed in the Biology Department (https://lnkd.in/gigDnEEF) for a start date summer/fall 2023.
Specifically, Dr. Kate Sheehan is seeking students to evaluate the impacts of fisheries on the parasite ecologies of waterbirds – including wading birds and seabirds. This project has a heavy lab component, but field opportunities are also possible.
Successful applicants will be offered a graduate assistantship that includes tuition remission and a stipend. Highly competitive applicants will be provided with supplemental stipend funds. Up tp 2 positions will be filled under this call.
Frostburg State University is located in beautiful mountain Maryland, within driving (but not living) distance to D.C., Baltimore, Pittsburgh, and is set in a breathtaking landscape that would satisfy the adventurous needs of any outdoor enthusiast.
